For incoming calls, AudioIQ automatically adapts to background noise levels--from a quiet taxi to a noisy city street--and intelligently improves the receive quality, clarity and volume level. For outgoing calls, AudioIQ reduces background noise for listeners up to 7-8 decibels, or by approximately 50 percent. It also minimizes interference from artifacts such as speech distortions to maintain exceptionally clear voice intelligibility. 
The carrying case includes a rechargeable NiMH battery for keeping the headset charged. | It also includes multipoint technology, which allows you to effortlessly switch between calls on two Bluetooth devices--great for multitaskers. (This feature can be turned off to extend battery life.) The Discovery 925 is embedded with Bluetooth version 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) for faster, more stable transmission, and it includes profiles for headset (connecting directly with a communication device) and hands-free (connecting to a car's hands-free kit). Controls include volume, call answer/end, voice activated dialing, and last number redial. The headset's earpiece itself has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is supplemented by a NiMH rechargeable battery in the included carry case.
