Search IndexMany of Amazon.com's AWS 4 web services functions require a Search Index parameter in the URL used to invoke the service.
The Search Index parameter identifies the type of data being requested. If an incorrect Search Index is selected, often no results are returned by the web service. Therefore, it's important to use the proper Search Index when making an AWS query.
Unfortunately, it's often difficult to determine the correct Search Index to use in a call. BrowseNodes.com can help since a Search Index is associated with each browse node in the database. The Search Index in the database, however, is selected using an automated process and may not always be the correct one to use. Therefore, you may need to experiment to discover the correct Search Index to use in your AWS queries. Links:
