Adding vinegar to your water or using only the freshest eggs will increase your odds on producing perfectly shaped poached eggs. However, using this egg poacher will make poached eggs that resemble fluffy white clouds every time. The pan holds the water while a stainless-steel insert sits above it and supports four nonstick egg cups. Holes in the insert allow steam to vent through the pan for even poaching. After poaching, little knobs on each egg cup let you remove each egg, slide it right onto your toast, and cover with a little hollandaise for completion.
The 8-inch bottom pan also doubles for cooking omelets, scrambled eggs, or even a burger. Made of aluminum, the pan offers rapid and even heat transfer during cooking. The exterior surface is brushed, making it difficult to see scratch marks. For easy cleaning and food removal, the pan’s interior uses the same Teflon Select nonstick coating as the egg cups. The riveted Bakelite handle stays cool on the stovetop and the tempered glass lid is vented for better visibility of your eggs.
